Isaac (Ishaq)
Introduction Prophet Isaac, known as Ishaq in Arabic, holds a significant place in the annals of prophetic history. As the second son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Sarah, Isaac's birth was a miracle, given that his parents were advanced in age and had long despaired of having children. His story, spanning various dimensions of faith, sacrifice, and divine intervention, is intertwined with those of his father and half-brother, Ishmael (Isma'il). The Miracle of Birth The story of Isaac begins with a divine promise. Abraham and Sarah had been married for many years but were unable to have children.
